How to configure SailFin 1 Year, 1 Month ago
Hi, according to the E4SS user manual, I don't know how to treat the "master password" after I type the below commands:

[shengqiongwang@mercury sailfin]$ bin/asadmin start-domain domain1
Starting Domain domain1, please wait.
Default Log location is /home/research/shengqiongwang/sailfin/domains/domain1/logs/server.log.
Please enter the master password>

(I don't know what is the master password, so I type "ctrl+c and c)and continue the below commands, but I still don't know what is the "admin user name" and "admin password"
[shengqiongwang@mercury sailfin]$ bin/asadmin create-jvm-options
> '-Dorg.echarts.system.transitionTimerManager.class=
> org.echarts.system.transitionTimerManager:
> -Dorg.echarts.debugging=true:
> -Dorg.echarts.servlet.sip.debugging=true:
> -Dorg.echarts.machine.debugging.blobalStateOutput=false:
> -Dorg.echarts.servlet.sip.messagelog=true:
> -Dorg.echarts.servlet.sip.logdir=${com.sun.aas.instanceRoot}/e4sslogs:
> -Djava.util.logging.config.file=logging.properties'
Please enter the admin user name>shengqiongwang
Please enter the admin password>
Unable to connect to admin-server at given host: [localhost] and port: [4848].
Please check if this server is up and running and that the host and port provided are correct.
CLI137 Command create-jvm-options failed.
[shengqiongwang@mercury sailfin]$

normally sailfin doesn't prompt for an admin username or password unless you changed its default settings (which you shouldn't do unless you know what you're doing)

in any case, the default admin username and password for sailfin are 'admin' and 'adminadmin' respectively - these may work for you unless they were changed when your sailfin configuration was modified

Re:How to configure SailFin 1 Year, 1 Month ago
I never changed sailfin's default setting, but when I change to $SAILFIN_HOME, and I still got the prompt as below:
[shengqiongwang@mercury sailfin]$ ./bin/asadmin start-domain domain1
Starting Domain domain1, please wait.
Default Log location is /home/research/shengqiongwang/sailfin/domains/domain1/logs/server.log.
Please enter the master password>
Redirecting output to /home/research/shengqiongwang/sailfin/domains/domain1/logs/server.log

Could you tell me what to do later? Thanks

i don't know why sailfin is prompting you for a 'master password' - i've never encountered this before - what version of sailfin are you using?

in any case, a google search indicates you should try entering 'changeit' when prompted for the master password - a google search also indicates that you can disable the password prompt by using an appropriate bin/asadmin command - if prompted for admin name/password, use the values i mentioned in my previous message

Re:How to configure SailFin 1 Year, 1 Month ago
my sailfin's version is:
sailfin-installer-v1-b60g-linux.jar

When I type "./bin/asadmin start-domain domain1" at $SAILFIN_HOME directory, I get the following prompt:

Starting Domain domain1, please wait.

Default Log location is /home/research/shengqiongwang/sailfin/domains/domain1/logs/server.log.

Please enter the master password>

(here I type 'changeit' or "adminadmin" as you mentioned, but I still get the prompt as below)

Redirecting output to /home/research/shengqiongwang/sailfin/domains/domain1/logs/server.log
(here is the CURSOR, what should I do later? thanks)

so far so good - just wait until you get the unix command line prompt - then sailfin is running (in the background) - if your machine is slow it can take a while for sailfin to start
