New Releases of ECharts and ECharts for SIP Servlets
We're pleased to announce ECharts Development Kit v1.2.1-beta and ECharts for SIP Servlets Development Kit v2.3-beta.

Click2DialFlow1Machine The highlight of this ECharts for SIP Servlets release is a revised version of the SailFin ClickToDial example using an ECharts machine in place of the original SIP servlet. Our revised example includes a comprehensive tutorial-style document describing the benefits of using ECharts for SIP Servlets to develop re-usable, modular telecom logic for converged applications. The release also includes a number of re-usable ECharts machines including a back-to-back user agent, a call forwarding proxy, two third party call control machines and others. Take a look at the screencast and documentation and download the development kit to see what ECharts for SIP Servlets has to offer.

The ECharts release provides cross-platform, cross-browser support for interacting with ECharts machine diagrams embedded in Javadoc documentation. Adobe's SVG browser plugin is no longer necessary! Browsing your ECharts machines has never been better. Download the stand-alone ECharts Development Kit or get it bundled as part of the ECharts for SIP Servlets Development Kit.

ECharts for SIP Servlets 2.2-beta Released!
Mere weeks after our previous release, we are excited to announce the release of ECharts for SIP Servlets 2.2-beta. This release could also be called our "SailFin" release since the only difference between this release and the previous release are modifications to add support for the SailFin open source SIP servlet container. SailFin, combined with our open source ECharts for SIP Servlets application development framework, finally makes it possible to develop and deploy non-trivial IP telecom services for free!

An added bonus is that ECharts for SIP Servlets includes a JSR 289-style application router that makes it possible to compose SIP servlet applications in SailFin. Take a look at this blog post for an overview of configuring SailFin for ECharts for SIP Servlets. And don't forget to watch our ECharts for SIP Servlets introductory screencast.

ECharts for SIP Servlets 2.1-beta Released!
We are very excited to release this new version of the ECharts for SIP Servlets Development Kit, only a few months after our previous release. This release is being distributed in a new, binary development kit format that greatly simplifies application development. We've also bundled a new "application generator" that creates a skeleton application project for the developer. Also included in this release are the latest version of ECharts and the SIP Servlet Application Router for JSR 116 containers.

ECharts 1.2-beta Released!
We are very pleased to announce the third release of ECharts. This release includes two new language features: (1) indexed machine array access for explicitly referencing machine array elements, and (2) internal ports for sending and receiving messages between ancestor and descendant machines. We've made significant performance improvements to the Javamachine runtime, both in terms of CPU and memory utilization. A new monitor event logger has been added. We've also made some changes to the language semantics, including the elimination of the 'shared' machine modifier. A few changes have been made to the Javamachine runtime interface. Finally, there are the obligatory bug fixes.

Application Router 1.0-beta Released!
We are pleased to announce the release version 1.0-beta of our Application Router for SIP Servlets software.

This software augments existing SIP Servlet 1.0 containers with the new application composition mechanism proposed in the upcoming SIP Servlet 1.1 specification (JSR289). With the help of this software, a deployer of SIP Servlet applications can select multiple applications to be active simultaneously for a SIP call, and can be certain that the composition will work consistently across different container implementations.

ECharts for SIP Servlets 2.0-beta Released!
We are pleased to announce version 2.0-beta of our ECharts for SIP Servlets development kit. This version provides two major enhancements:
  • Automatic Termination Handling - allows for automatic termination of calls following the SIP protocol. This can be invoked explicitly by the developer, or used implicitly, such that incoming CANCEL or BYE messages can trigger termination of all calls within the application instance.
  • Support for SIP Servlet Application Composition - Applications written using ECharts can specify routing directives to indicate how outgoing calls should be treated by the application router. Applications can also query the routing regions in which they are invoked, and the identities of the subscribers whom they are serving.
NOTE: To use this release you must use the pre-release version 1.2 of the ECharts SDK.

ECharts for SIP Servlets 1.0.2-beta Released!
We've released a maintenance update of the ECharts for SIP Servlets SDK. The 1.0.2-beta release includes a bug fix for the recent 1.0.1-beta release. The bug prevented a servlet from loading in a BEA container. The release also includes a few other bug fixes, a few new features, and Javadoc documentation incorporating interactive SVG diagrams of ECharts machines.
